Ring’s End Lumber will host a free “Morning for Moms” seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 10:30 to noon in its store at 129 Danbury Road. Color Consultant Rita T will guide participants in an exploration of concepts and creative ideas for “Decorating for Kids.”

Palo Alto approves master plans for Gunn and Paly high schools (San Jose Mercury News)

Palo Alto School Board members approved master plans for both district high schools Tuesday night despite community objections, setting up basic guidelines that will determine the look of the schools for generations to come.
